What We Believe

Welcome :  What We Believe

I SHOULD EXPECT THE CHURCH TO:
  - minister to my spiritual needs, especially through the preaching of the Word.
  - assist me with godly guidance, especially in times of decision, stress and difficulty.
  - provide me with opportunities for Christian fellowship.
  - serve me and members of my family in matters of religious instruction.
  - sustain me by the prayer and concern of my pastors and fellow believers in any distressing circumstances of life.
  - be a sound steward of my financial and personal investments in the Kingdom of God.

WE BELIEVE:
  - that the Bible is God's Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives. 2 Tim 3:16
  - that there is one God, the Creator, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God
    the Holy Spirit. 2 Cor 13:14
  - that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. Rom 3:23
  - that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless
    and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.
    Matt 16:16; 1 Cor 15:3,4
  - in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth' we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ,
    and submit to His will for our lives. 1 Peter 1:18,19;  Rom 10:9; Acts 2:38
  - in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptized in water and be filled
    with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues
    which is the initial evidence of baptism of the Holy Spirit. Matt 28:19,20; Gal 5:16; Acts 10:48; Acts 2:4; Acts 2:39;
    1 Cor 12:1; 1 Cor 14:1
  - that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to
    worship God, fulfill our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.  Eph 4:11-13, 15-16;
    1 Cor 12:4-11, 24-31
  - that the redemptive work of Christ provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer. 1 Peter 2:24
  - in the observance of the Lord's supper. 1 Cor 11:23-26; Luke 22:15-20; Acts 20:7
  - that our eternal destination of either Heaven or Hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.
    John 5:24, 28-29
  - that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised. Titus 2:13
