Our Church

We seek to inspire people to know and develop their destiny in God, be empowered by His Spirit, equipped by His Word and expressive in His praise. Our mandate is to preach Christ in a clear, creative and contemporary manner that has relevance and impact in today's world.

"Petersham Assembly of God" (AOG), was the first AOG church in Sydney. Established in 1922, it has been at its current location in Audley Street for the past 45 years. We are a pentecostal and evangelistic church.

The Assemblies of God (AOG) worldwide, is the fastest growing Christian movement with 30 million members and adherents. Here in Australia, there are 195 000 members and 1100 churches. This year, the name for the AOG in Australia changed to Australian Christian Churches – Assemblies of God in Australia (ACC – AOG).

Our heart is to be a church which is medium-sized so that we can maintain a sense of community, and to grow by planting other churches around Sydney.  We provide oversight to a network of several church plants around Sydney which continues to increase.
