WHAT IS OUR "FIRST PRIORITY"? Jesus' last command is our "First Priority", and for this reason Petersham Assembly of God are excitedly involved in reaching out with the good news of the Gospel to our community but also to the nations. At the present moment we have an ongoing commitment to missionaries in a number of countries - Australia, the Philippines, Cambodia, India, Tanzania, Peru and other closed Asian countries. Although our commitment on the world scale is only small, we know that great and mighty things can happen as we are faithful to the "Great Commission" and make it our "First Priority". If you would like more information on our missionaries, or about First Priority-Connect (a network between Connect Groups and missionaries), or if you have any other query, please contact Evelyn Walker, the First Priority Coordinator at: office@petershamaog.org.au Thank you for your support of our 10 partners in 9 different countries around the world.
Grace Gifts
Thank you to everyone who purchased Grace Gifts in December 2009 and gave generously, impacting the lives of those in need of "grace" overseas. We raised around $9000 which has gone to 3 countries: - Tanzania: Building materials for orphanage, Pastor's bikes-to assist them in visiting people in need across the large district, and Bibles, and Christmas food hampers for needy families. Our own team members who visited Tanzania and distributed these parcels were impacted greatly by the need and by the generous and beautiful spirits of the Tanzanians. - Thailand: To an orphanage to purchase materials to make a chicken coop and to build a dam for fresh fish, so that fresh produce is available for the orphanage, giving them an ongoing self-sustaining method of good nourishment. Furniture and bedding was provided for a Women's and Childen's AIDS Hospice. - Cambodia: The provision of dental and medical treatment for grannies, who are left to live on the streets by families once they are too elderly to assist in the family home. This gift also went towards some temporary housing for them. |
